Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) IP Address found in Wireshark capture of my home LAN

I was running a Wireshark capture against my Ethernet network interface (eth0) and found the LAPDs IP address in the source data field. This struck me as odd and raised my alert level. I usually check the maroon and black entries in Wireshark, I’ve found these are the packet captures of nefarious bad actors.

Anyway, I could not place any reason they should be in my SME LAN in Wyoming. The only connection I can draw, is that I chat on Paltalk and a troll of mine is from the Los Angeles area with law enforcement relatives. If that isn’t a serious abuse of power and violation of acceptable use policies, I don’t know what is, ha!
